Man if they don't take Dano, I'll be very happy.

Also, I expected McPhee to put together a better roster.

Clearly his plan is to suck as hard as possible, and not even try for the first couple years.

No matter what happens, dropping spots in the 1st round without getting picks back is terrible, we may drop more spots than 2 but dropping even 2 spots screws us. I had made my peace with Dano leaving, however I simply cannot get myself to be okay with dropping at the draft

Wow, what a terrific audience.

If we move down to the low 20's to protect Enstrom that will suck, especially if he continue to decline.

Hahahahaha. They took Berube? Berube is a bad goalie. Not even close to NHL calibre. With all the talent at goalie available one would think they would be taking something considerably better than that, even as a 3rd stringer.

Fleury is 33y so they'll be looking for a goalie.

Why not Grubauer????
McPhee earning to get fired already.

Still waiting on reports from:

1) Arizona
2) Buffalo
3) Carolina
4) Colorado
5) Columbus
6) New Jersey
7) Philadelphia
8) Vancouver
9) Washington
10 Winnipeg

Quite predictable that Chevy is one of a handful of teams keeping things on the down low.

It also appears they may have been the very last deal Las Vegas made.

Judging some of the players selected, perhaps Dano hasn't been selected either.

By my count 20/30 selections have been reported:
-8/14 forwards
-10/9 defensemen
-2/3 goalies
-14/20 2017-2018 contracts
-46.4 million cap hit so already $2.6 million over the floor with 10 picks still coming.
-26.6 million from the ceiling with 10 players still to be announced
NJ is Merrill
Philly is bellemare
Washington is Schmidt
Vancouver is Sbisa

I beleive

I don't see why they didn't take mrazek. Fleury bridges for two years and mrazek is your long term starter. I really liked what I saw from Schmidt strong zone entries and good ozone dman so I can understand passing on grubauer with other goalie options available

I'll post all the speculated picks in a few moments.

Before I do thought I'd add paraphrase Mcphee from last night. He said:

1) he'd have great goaltending
2) would have lots of depth defensively & would be selecting more than the minimum
3) they'd have significant depth at centre
4) would have good scoring wingers

It's funny how we're the last leak.

Chevy is kinda a enigma at this point with other GM's I bet

Jets should change their slogan from "Fueled by passion" to "Neither confirm, nor deny" or "Never seen, nor heard"

Just turned on the TV to check if the awards show is being shown over here. They're showing Sharks-Oilers game 2 followed by a Sens-Bruins game. Not quite what I was looking for.

Meh.

over 82 games, if the Jets deserve to make it, they'll make it.

The jets are a better team than we give them credit for if they had good goaltending and a healthy defence. You don't sweep the blues and win 4/5 against chicago whilst being utter s*** imo.

Mrazek was torched by Wings management for attitude and coach ability issues.

Also, this tendency on this board to bash Jets players who are thought to be on their way out is not cool. If Dano is not picked, the same folks who spent the last 7 days talking crap about him will be saying what a genius move it was to protect both Dano and Toby.

While a certain other few on this board will find a reason to bash management for protecting both Dano and Toby and letting Matthias get picked amirite? :naughty:
