Not impressed with Brad Lauer at all running the PP so far, it's anemic.
Not a terrible performance by the Jets, could tell Flames were desperate for the win though.

Yeah, NZ play is just lacking. I don't mind dumping the puck in when it's working but when it's not it's just a weak change in possession. Not that the Jets have been good at carrying the puck in either but I think it's pretty clear at this point the coaches want more dump ins and less carry-ins.

No, it was more like the Jets failing to penetrate through the neutral zone again once Calgary got the one goal lead. 1-2-2 passive neutral zone forecheck is the Jets' kryptonite, because they don't have somebody that can disrupt defenders enough with shifty skating and quick edges.
Calgary outworked the Jets, plain & simple.

we were good in the first 2 periods up until we gave up the shg and did nothing with the 5on 3

need better PP. A lot of not great looking forwards tonight, and not singling Connor out but he looked a bit lost tonight, not good on SHG and stopping skating late in the 2nd. Hopefully better tomorrow for him and everybody else and better result.

I didn't think the Jets played a bad first two periods but that botched Conner shot that lead to the GWG and whatever you'd like to call that 2 man advantage just killed this teams momentum. We never could recover and figure our a way through Calgary's trap in the third.
Helle wasn't his best tonight but still gave us a chance to win.
Defense as a whole was fine imo and JoMo and Pionk put up some points.
Scheifele and Conner were both poor and made a number of defensive errors.
Wheeler was misfiring on a bunch of passes but some how got put out at the end of the game and on the two man advantage.
Dubois played well, Cole had some positive and not so positive moments, a good experience playing in this type of game.
Bottom 6 was just ok outside of Lowry who had a good night.
Special teams was the difference and it's been long enough that our coaches should know that PP1 doesn't work at all and it's going to start costing us more games.
