Came in to see opinions on Stoll and instead saw this!

Really happy to see Skjei get a crack in the NHL. He's a great kid, and a very good defenseman. The Gophers miss him dearly this season. Really hope he plays on Thursday in St. Paul!!

Oh I forgot about that. That would be awesome if he got to go home and play in front of his family and friends in his 2nd game.

Excellent. I was not looking forward to the possibility of Summers. Let's see what Skjei can do.

let the brady skjei lovefest begin.

not for nothing, but needing skjei to play so soon and having mcilrath suddenly become like our 2nd best defenseman isn't really the best scenario and certainly not where we thought we'd be after the start of the season.

as in, it might just mean were not very good all of a sudden or the rest of the league has figured out how to beat us ie.

* make our defense handle the puck deep. often.

* kill us with out own game. speed - which we show little of anymore, and pressure.

* run into and over hanky. frequently.

just sayin

It is a good thing, our d was never the best in the NHL, like many here and out there kept saying. Getting a couple of young guys potentially stealing spots is a great motivator. If you're a vet and can't pick up your play, get ready to waive that no trade clause to play elsewhere.
