That's probably part of it. Someone did mention it takes quite a long time for the cement to fully cool off. I'm no expert, but could be one of the reasons why.

I'm upset that people brought this up before the rink was even finished and now it seems to be playing out exactly as predicted. And as someone who doesn't give a shit about basketball, the only sport and team I follow are now doomed to play in a facility with bad ice.

the state of detroit pro sports is the worst it has been in decades. wings and tigers in rebuilds with no hope of winning in at least the next 3-5 years. pistons going nowhere being in the middle of the pack, and the lions are still the lions
