Will go down as one of the worst signings by the Sens of all time. 7.5 mill x4 more years after this one. That is just ridiculous for a guy like Ryan. Whatever he was in Anaheim, outside of last years playoff run, hes nothing of the sort anymore.

Yeah, but that was pure Murray. The guy looooooooooooved giving long term deals at max or close with NTC. It was his sweet spot. Hopefully Dorion is less brutal, he's shown he is, at least, not tacking on NTC/NMC willy-nilly so there's that.

We are going to need to buy out Ryan, but not sure Melnyk has the cash to do that, sadly.

Ryan was playing well before the hand injury... he had no goals but was playing well... That whole line was.

Do we have an update on this?

Is Ryan's hand actually broken again or just people overreacting?

At this point j don't think you can fault anyone for any overreaction when they see Ryan clutching his hand

Bobby Ryan is and the Vince Carter of the NHL. Every injury is over-acted, he makes sure everyone knows he’s playing with pain and he blames these self made distractions for his low level intensity and unwillingness to compete

The question was not related to if the overreaction was warranted...

to answer your question, no actual report either way

that being said, ryan has been playing good hockey of late, hasnt been producing as many points as one would want but who has on our team except for stone and chabot

Ryan has been our 4th most productive fwd in PPG. He needs to step it up, of course... just kind of shocking that a snakebitten Ryan has been our 4th most productive fwd. Smith needs to step it up, too, and contribute more.

I don't think of Bobby as a lazy player, he is slow but not lazy. He can be a good player, his constant hand injuries has hampered his game lately, and it very well could be a long term issue for him. If you want to see any example of a lazy player, Hoffman is the poster boy for that on this team.

I don't know how you can say Ryan is not a lazy player. Yes, hoffman is as well.

Explain how we can see Ryan skate hard on the forecheck, lay a big hit, steal the puck with intensity, make a beauty pass for a tap in goal. Then we see him skate at half speed for 10 games straight. We know he can move his legs and be effective. We saw it last playoffs. But now? He's gliding everywhere and skating at half speed. That's laziness. I don't know how you can get off saying he's not lazy when we can all see what his effort level is now vs what he's capable of at times.

Either he's lazy or has the endurance of a 12 year old overweight kid with asthma.

Bobby Ryan should go on waivers and be waived.

Bobby Ryan last 80 GP - 14 goals / 33 points
Alex Burrows last 80 GP - 14 goals / 28 points

It would have been nice to buy out Ryan and retain Turris. I think the Senators would be a better hockey team

except in his prime and when not injured, Vince Carter was “the guy” and lead his team, which is something Ryan never was

Ryan's hurt. When are people on this board going to understand injuries affect players ability on the ice.

Its Boucher who screwed up the chemistry. Changing players lines and positions every game make it impossible to play at this level. Why the he'll when Ryan came back did they not put him back with Stone and Brassard. They were dominant. Boucher over thinks everything.

We've been saying the following for years.

If he's injured and playing like trash he should sit out. Playing injured isn't an excuse with this guy anymore. It's a way of life. We've already figured out that he's useless when playing injured. They can't be this stupid. Weve been through this road before. We should learn from it and sit him if that's the case.

Biggest mistake of the offseason was not paying Vegas to take Ryan.
