More on the Amazon bid. Pittsburgh released a video as part of the effort to attract the bid. Fluff yes, but nice fluff.

I liked the references such as the chair to save parking spots thing.

Called my Dr's office this morning to see if my MRI results came in. They didn't tell me the results other than the fact that I'm already being setup to see a neurosurgeon. They eventually emailed me the results and here's what the final impression said, "Large right paracentral disc protrusion at L5-S1 deforming the S1 nerve root." Yeah, I pretty much know my option at this point.
Exact same disc protrusion hitting the nerves as mine, except my MRI said it's only contacting my nerve root, not deforming it so I imagine it's not as severe as yours. I wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemy.

I hope whatever you and the specialists ultimately decide to do will relieve that pain for you. You're way too young for these kinds of back problems.

The past couple of days I haven't really slept since it's causing my back to spasm at a rate that I haven't experienced before. I checked my "patient portal" for my health stuff (medical history, meds, procedures) and under the procedure part, there's already a 2nd back surgery on my procedure history. I'm going to call my neurosurgeon's office to try and get some clarity on that. That doesn't just randomly get put on your medical history lol.

With how bad my symptoms are and how the severity is mirroring a year ago, I know my option unfortunately. When I had my consultation last year I thought it was just a normal visit, I was dead f***ing wrong. Being this young with back problems is what it is and you just have to adjust your life accordingly. Speaking of my age and the issues I have, I'll share with you something my surgeon told me last year. They are starting to find Degenerative Disc Disease in people in their early 20's and he personally doesn't understand why so many people in their 20's are starting to deal with it so soon.

Amazon priced all of my favorite bars out of the neighborhood I had my rehearsal space in back in Chicago, so f*** 'em.

They're the worst of the tech boom, even worse than those idiots who got 150 million for that music lyric site.

I just quit drinking coffee daily. My teeth were brown. Now I've gotten plumper. I think I'll drop 15 pounds under the tree.

Yeah every time I go to the dentist he says "oh you're a smoker?" because of my teeth but I've smoked like 10 cigarettes in my life. Damn coffee.

I hear gargling coconut oil once a day (20 minutes) for a month (or a few months) can make your teeth whiter. My teeth aren't as white as I'd like them to be due to lots of coffee, but maybe something to look into? My dentist told me about it and many of his patients swear by it.

I'd like to see the science on that because I don't get it, tbh. Probably tastes good though. Coconuts rule.

I'm not a science guy, but I prefer seeing results in front of me over word of mouth (no, not youtube videos as they can be faked). Also, it tastes nasty.

Get aht. Coconuts are amazing.

But then again, I guess gargling with any good tasting oil would be also pretty gross after a few days.

What I'm saying is I just don't get how that is supposed to work. Does coconut oil have some sort of natural bleaching power?

There's that black paste that is gritty that basically whitens your teeth and there's science behind it, I can't for the life of me remember the name of it, but I've had friends try it to decent success.

I just go to the dentist and get them cleaned and whitened to what they should be at, as an avid coffee drinker.

I was 21 when I found out I had it. It's scary stuff. What kind of shape will I be in when I'm 40? 50? Will I still be able to do the things I love to do when I retire or am I going to be struggling just to get around?

That's the thing, you have to realize what you can and cannot do. Thinking I was invincible is what got me hurt in the first place and now 10 years later I'm still struggling with accepting there's certain things I can't or shouldn't be doing anymore. Being stubborn as a mule doesn't help me, either....

Coconut oil gargling is different. I've tried 3 different types and last maybe a few days. People say it restores your enamel, but it's just word of mouth. I have no idea if there is even science to it or not. I've never tried coconut oil for cooking either, I use grass fed ghee or Avocado oil, I wonder if people swear by those as oil pulling too. I'm going to the dentist this month, i'll have to ask him what's so great about it. CBA to research it, just giving suggestions.

I abused my body and lifted things wrong at my job for SO LONG in my 20's and now 30's, my back is still f***ed up nearly a month later. Sometimes I almost fall down from the sharp pain. It is in my lower back and wraps around to my leg and around my groin area. I took for granted my back in my 20's, never got hurt and now I'm 33 and hurt. Now I'm looking after myself and hope it goes away on its own.

Teeth aren’t supposed to be pure white though

I enjoyed Justice League, but Affleck now wanting to possibly step away (which do it already, I am sick of him being 50/50 on staying), Jon Hamm wants to take on the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman which I am 100% for. I love Mad Men and Hamm has some very good range as an actor. He would need to bulk up big time though.

Charcoal?

Yeah I think it was charcoal or some vitamin pill that people were opening up and using it for that and it seemed to work well.
