Is Toe Blake really that physical? Legitimately asking.
"Tough" is in two ATD bio quotes. No one is more "fiery". His "doggedness" is heralded.
There was nothing at which he did not excel. He was a strong, fast skater; he could and did pick the corners with his shots; his passing left little to be desired; he was a past-master at both fore and back checking; his services were in demand when his team had the odd-man advantage and he was often pressed into service when his team was short-handed.
The relentless work ethic of he and Y is tiring enough to face, but then there is the nasty Mr. Elbows.

Nobody wants a piece of that line. Remarkable.

Golden opportunity to pick an Arena and George Laraque, and play both on the 4th line.
We should draft this guy:

The importance of an elite mascot is really underrated.

Mascots...

The history of hockey mascots would be an interesting coffee table book (just interesting enough to compell most to open it while sipping java and irrelevant enough to easily put down after a gulp.

Bandits will take LW #10 Esa Tikkanen

I didn’t see his name but I am also doing this on mobile so if someone can let me know thanks.

A nice gift for you ATDers. This is Jimmy Ward's gold medallion for winning the 1935 Stanley Cup with the Montreal Maroons, and his medallion for playing in the first NHL All Star Game in 1934. Enjoy!

Is that in your possession or from a museum? Very cool piece of history.

I collect sports cards casually, and I got my hands on this 1/1 Doug Harvey not long ago.

Was thinking about Peca and Tikkanen with my last two picks but wanted to have a more squeaky clean finesse feel to my forward group, and also soup up the powerplay

Johnny Gottselig, LW

Good two-way player at even strength, Hart finalist in 1938-39, probably the most praised penalty killer of his generation.

1937 Diamond Matchbook said:
Gottselig, one of the greatest stickhandlers in the puck chasing game is starting his 10th season with the Black Hawks... when his team is shorthanded because of a penalty, Gottselig is sent out on the ice to keep the puck from the opponents. At this style of defensive play, he has no equal.
Here's my old bio, I'll update it with stuff from seventieslord's 2017 bio that was kind of wrecked by the forum update

Okay, I had to quadruple check this guy was still available. He's previously never gone this late. In fact, he's slid almost 20 spots below his previous low. Gallifrey drafts Bill Barber!

Jon Cooper, Coach

3 finals appearances, b2b Cups in a pandemic, at the top again seeking a 3rd straight Cup. Stellar RS record. Named coach of Team Canada.

Balanced teams that can play defense and dominate both slots.

And he’s an attorney.
