the Lightning don't need a really big threat with Miller. All they need is the right kind of player for their needs. Same with McDonagh. Yzerman is not stupid, he knows what McDonagh brings (really really predictable and dependable at a high level of play but not a really dangerous offensive player). They did all the hard team building with great scouting and patience, and can afford to bring in guys like McDonagh and Miller and just let them float the boat a little teensy weensy bit higher.
I still don't want the Lightning to win anything.
