Still enjoyed it as we now head towards the finale with four more episodes and Kai winning the vote, with Meadow's suicide and now Harrison being murdered by Ivy, Winter and Beverly.

Four eps left, and still on track pretty much, and as long as they stay on course and don't completely derail it in the final four episodes, it's easily on track to be the best season since Murder House, imo. I've been waiting for a good season from start-to-finish without any stupid twists and turns that derail the season in the final stretch.

Another great episode. I think we are down to the final...3 eps? I'm really hoping for an amazing finale, if it can pull that off I think I would rank it in the top 2 seasons.

Judgment house was exactly the type of thing I’d imagine you find on the deep dark web aside from the obvious.

I liked that flashback though. It showed the humanity in Kai and gave real good background on how he became to be what he is.

Yup, 3 eps I believe now. It’s been great. Best since Murder House.

Yesterday's episode was amazing. Probably the best of the season. I can't praise Evan Peters and his performances enough. He's simply phenomenal.

This season is bordering really close to topping Murder House. I'll have to see how the final two episodes play out, but they're really close.

Yes this season is more focused. Honestly haven't enjoyed a season this much since maybe the first half of season 2. And like others have said, Peters is killing it.

One more episode to not screw everything up. I think they can do it! Might not explain everything as usual, which is fine, but let's see what we do get.

This is right up there with Murder House imo as long as the finale is good, and it's looking like it'll be pretty damn good.

One episode left and we have not seen anything supernatural. So far the whole series has been based around the supernatural. At this point they may as well call it American Crime Story.

Horror has to be supernatural? I think almost everything that has happened was pretty horrific so far.

The best seasons haven't had huge supernatural implications. Murder House may have had some elements, but not as many as other seasons, and Cult has none. These are the two best seasons the series has ever put out. I don't think it's coincidence.

Almost every character in murder house was a ghost. Are you sure you watched it, or you're not remembering it correctly?

What I'm saying is that they've basically changed the premise of the show, especially in comparison to last season.

Even comparing this season from start until now has changed quite a bit. The clowns are all but gone, which was the horror element this season. It's now about stories of cult leaders and Sarah Paulsons character getting her revenge.

I remember it. I think AHS utilizes two senses of supernatural ability.

Ghosts in a haunted house, or complete f***ery with aliens and whatever the hell else they’ve done in the past with witches to derail seasons.

Murder House never crossed over into complete lunacy. The ghosts of those killed in the house remained in the house. It was done well and a great season because it had one central focus. Was it a bit supernatural? Some could consider it so, but it’s also not out of the realm of possibility in real life to be able to experience something like that — although I doubt many people will be encountering infatatas in their basement.

As for your point above, I’d say the “horror” in AHS this season is the political landscape of it all and the cult Kai has created in the midst of the political shift. Drawing on people’s fears, controlling elements of the media, dressing up as clowns, Kai being a larger than life leader envisioning himself along the likes of Jim Jones and Charles Manson. That’s the horror of it this season. It doesn’t need to be supernatural all the time.

The scare tactics and mystery change, but you've got a crazy guy leading other crazies and bodies dropping everywhere all in a little town. That's horrific either way. I'm only saying it doesn't have to always be supernatural.

All I'm saying is that unless they throw a curveball at us in the finale, they have changed what has basically been the recipe of the show.

I still enjoy this season don't get me wrong. It just see as if I'm watching a different show than the one I've watched the last 6 seasons.

I could be missing something but, it seems there is no mystery remaining. The only unanswered question I have besides how it will end is, what the hell was up with the gimp in the Attic?
