Awesome win for the Cavs and Cleveland...all hail King Lebron. He's beyond reproach now, though he probably should have been already. To come down from 3-1 against the 'greatest team ever' cements his legacy as an all-time great forever.

I know very little about basketball in the year 2016, but that seemed like a terrible result for GS.

Didn't they break some regular season wins record? They lost almost as many games in the playoffs as regular season, didn't they? And not to mention that they had a 3-1 lead in their finals series and needed 7 games in the conference finals.

Now every major sports team that has the season wins record does NOT have a championship

NHL - 1995-96 Wings
NBA - 2015-16 Warriors
NFL - 2006 Patriots
MLB - 2001 Mariners

And they lost as many games in the playoffs as they did in the regular season. 73-9 in the regular season, 15-9 in the playoffs.

This is why I tend to not get too worried when the Rangers win the presidents trophy, like some think it's close to a given that they'll win the cup because of it.

I remember the Hawks went like 22 games undefeated in regulation to open the lockout season and they won the cup. They had an absurd record that year, but it may have leveled off over an 82 game schedule.

Bill Simmons' timeline is funny as hell right now--he's super disappointed

lol Durant actually went and joined the Warriors? Good thing LeBron got Cleveland their title this year.

Damn that might be the most hated team of all time

The Warriors have certainly gone from hero to villain faster than anyone since LeBron took his talents to South Beach.

Durant basically did pull a LeBron, only instead of joining a team with two other stars he joins one with THREE. One ball for Durant, Curry, Klay and Green - how exactly is this going to work? Actually this is worse than LeBron cause his team in OKC really could have won a title, while LeBron was propping up garbage in Cleveland the first time around.

I don't get why there aren't just 6 NBA teams. Seems all the talent just distills to that many teams.

I still can't believe Stern vetoed Chris Paul to LA Lakers and this stuff goes on.

Spurs getting Gasol will be big for them. Westbrook should go there in Free Agency next year. Aldridge, Leonard, Gasol, Westbrook would be big time. I would love to see him and Durant show off in the playoffs.
