Of course breaking up the top line helps solve the scoring depth issue. We were beat over the head with how good the top line was (and they were) and how smart Hakstol was, but we all knew it didn't help the team actually win games. Went over 1/4 of the season being stubborn about it. Just a shame Filppula is the player benefitting from being put with our star winger and best defensive winger, even if he's not exactly doing much.

Also, Simmonds is starting to look back again, ENG aside. Playing with G and Coots helps, so does returning health.

You knew Edmonton was going to turn it on.
That was a bad 2nd goal they gave up. Weise and Sanheim played it poorly. At least on my first view.
But a huge PK there at the end, and a great last 10 minutes by Elliott.

I haven’t felt positive in a while. But I enjoyed the game tonight

Jake looks great with Raffl.

Win tomorrow night. Three in a row on the road is something you can build on.

Baffling deployment again by Hakstol.

Sanheim: 11:39, least of the D
Patrick: 8:12, >5 minutes 5v5
Voracek: 17:30
Filppula: 19:09 (No idea why he's involved with special teams...)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it couts who asked to be put in there.

That pk looked atrocious. Also does edmonton look like trash or what?

Two nice road wins.

Great opportunity to wail about the coach.
