What about Wissmann and Gawanke? And why isn't Bokk there, injury?

I heard that both Wissmann and Gawanke are supposed to join the team, but it's not official yet.

Bokk was cut, if I remember correctly, because the coach wants certain types of players for certain roles on the roster and apparently Bokk could not fit into his plans. Which I guess means he would not have a spot for Bokk in the top 6 and he doesn't think he would be useful on a checking line.
But that last part is just my interpretation based on speculation.

I picture Sturm a 3rd line center but since Bokk is a winger, it doesn't really matter. Sturm will have to play a different game here for Germany..

Seider is a huge upgrade to our defense. Great that he is joining.
If we get Gawanke and / or Wissmann our defense is set.
Ehliz is a shame played a fantastic season, but giving Bokk a chance instead ist not that bad.

Given the squad I do expect us to make the quarterfinal.

I really Like that szuber is on the Team.
He is a good Defensive dman, which is important.
While we mostly Focus on offensive dmans and their Points, the Guys WHO don't Put Up much Points are equally as important.

Within a couple of days that defense went from :eek3: to .

There were several roster decisions up to now, I was not too happy with (cutting Bokk was just one of them), but I am quite satisfied with the end result.
While I still would like Bokk on the team, I am glad that Stachowiak and Varejcka made it and are rewarded for their strong play this season. They may become key players in the future as more and more of our core players may look at retirement, and most of our NHL players' teams seem to be on the upswing. Soon we will not even have a chance to get Stüzle, Peterka or Seider in most years.

It'll be good for some of these younger guys (Schütz is another one) to get this experience early in their careers.

With Gawanke signing in Mannheim, he should become a stalwart on future World Championship teams.

Let's play a prediction game: Top 3 Point Predictions for the tournament for German players?
Feel free to add any reasoning also if needed.

Example:

1. Seider 2+9 = 11 pts
2. Peterka 7+2 = 9 pts
3. Tiffels 3+4 = 7 pts
