Philly blew this World Series when Thompson had Marsh swinging away in the bottom of the 8th of Game 5 instead of putting the squeeze play on

Just an inexcusable inaction on the part of the Philly's manager

The Astros are the 2022 World Series Champions! A great team wins it all!

Congrats to Dusty. I hope he goes out on top. Enjoy life man.

Congrats to Swords and Punk (I don't think we have another Astros fan here).

Hats off to the Phillies for one hell of a run.

This was the classic NHL ending for the Phillies....94 Canucks/04 Flames/03 Ducks...too often in baseball it seems the worse team pulls it off in the WS whereas in hockey they rarely do

Philly didn't have the horses in the end.

Wheeler and Nola are studs but the Philles basically needed them to go perfect in both of their starts to have a shot. Relying on only four arms in the pen compared to the Astros loaded bullpen was also asking for eventual disaster.

Hell of a run though. Not many gave them a shot to beat Atlanta, let alone coming within 2 games of winning it all.

Thanks for the kind words

So friggin awesome man. Woooo!

And the Phillies will be back in the postseason annually. You got a great team Halladay
Congrats to both of you! Lost Cole, Springer, and Correa for nothing, and still win a World Series. An amazing organization.

Jury's probably out on the Phillies still. This really seemed like one of those "good team gets really hot at the right time" kinda things. The Braves are going to be good for a long time, the Mets will probably spend money to reload. Seemed like they needed to cash this one in. But you never know.

That was some of the best pitching I've ever seen in the postseason. What a run. Thrilled for Dusty Baker.

It's infuriating a team can just go "meh" at the thought of losing a two way stud like Carlos Correa, replace him with a rookie and somehow get better.

The comparison to Atlanta pulling random rookies turning into legit major league contributors out of their ass is definitely there.

Hats off to our young guys in Framber,Javier,Abreu. Just phenomenal stuff. We did this without JV or Lance pitching well ( outside of G3 in Seattle for Lance)

If they can reconfigure their bullpen, i think they'll be a legit playoff team especially with the extra seeds now.

Offense is there. Harper is Harper, Schwarber is probably the best pure power hitter in baseball and won't drive Phillies fans nuts once he's back at his rightful DH spot. Young guys like Stott getting better. Wheeler and Nola still there to anchor the rotation.

That Castellanos contract though.....not much one can do about that.

If there's one fanbase that should NOT be booing the commissioner, it's Astros fans
