Number 703 for Pujols and he passes Babe Ruth for 2nd all-time on the RBI list.
If not for COVID, he'd likely be past Ruth for HR and right on Aaron's tail for RBI. He probably would have at least 15 more HR and 40+ RBI, but perhaps as many as 70+. Either way, another season and he could have conceivably been #1 in career RBI. Probably no real shot at passing Aaron, let alone Bonds.

For him to pass Bonds, he needs another 2-3 seasons.

But kudos for Albert for going out on top.

Things are starting to get a tad tense for the Braves in Miami, Sanchez hits a homer to tie that game at 1. Mets won the first game of their double dip this afternoon.

I'm at Minute Maid. Missed 62. Haven't acknowledged it yet at the game.

Ranger is going to have a long night.

Judge should be looked at as the record-holder.

Did anyone ever consider Ben Johnson the world-record holder in the 100 metres after the 1988 Olympics?

Same should go for Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa.

I'm not saying you're wrong to believe that, but the record is the record, and it was done the way it was done. Roger Maris had to hear about having the advantage of playing more games (1961 was the first year they played 162 games), fair or unfair, it mattered. And then over time, it didn't.

Bottom line is that one day someone will have to hit 74.

Now we can not hear from Roger Maris Jr any longer.
If he wants to complain about the home run record, he can send his complains to Barry Bonds.
