But their GM is Garth Snow, MB's rival when it comes to the NHL Annual Mentally Handicap Achievement Award.
Even hes not stupid enough. None of those teams need wingers. Islanders have Lee, Bailey, Eberle... pacioretty would be behind those guys and Barzal and Tavares... The Oilers do need wingers, but they need defenders A LOT more.

Captain Ready is better than those three wingers (over his career) and even if I concede that he isn't that's still only three wingers. You need four for your top two lines. Barzal and Tavares are centers.

You guys are talking about Captain Ready for Oliers' pick. Do you think it's unrealistic to trade Captain Not-So-Ready for the Islanders two first rounders?

I think if we win the 3rd overall pick, it might be smart to trade back for both of their picks. At 4 it's pretty much a slam dunk. It would require Garth to ''fall in love'' with a player, though, IMO.

I think the Isles are a more likely option for Weber or Price. They need help stopping goals.

I'm hoping Snow has a major hardon for Price and gives up an insane amount for him in an effort to convince Tavares to stay.

Not thrilled about Dallas winning, but i can live with this if it means us getting Svechnikov and both Buffalo and Ottawa falling out of the top-3.

The oilers have been trying to find dmen since forever now, Pacioretty fits that speedier regime and he will light it up with Mcdavid.

After several weeks of thought I came to the conclusion that attaining more picks (by trading down) would help us more in the long run than to get one top player.

We could (and should) use Pacioretty as bait for another 1st pick this year but also consider moving down from our position and collect multiple picks.

This draft would serve us as a stepping stone to a quick rebuild (if we do select the right players).

So what's with Svechnikov not taking part in U18s if he's not with the national team? Not that he really needs to mind you.

Should be a good challenge for Morozov, Ishkakov and Marchenko, with Russia missing their top line.

Agreed, unless we land top 2.

Barrie is apparently not releasing him. Which is all kinds of odd.

Unfortunately trades of picks (especially in the top rounds) has become much less frequent. I think teams are cluing in to the fact that it is almost always a bad gamble to trade up at traditional prices...

Watching the lottery is the epitome of terrible fan logic. We have about a 10% chance of being happy with the results....but we will watch and expect the best anyway:yo::yo:

If you think you can teach Kotkaniemi to skate, you might be really high on him.... like really high...
