In the final minutes of the final game of the year, Max scores his 34th of the year. 80 points even in 62 games.

Fantastic season and I'm excited to see how he does next year as a possible league scoring leader.

Skinner was a 3rd round pick.

His stats improved quite a bit after his trade from Lethbridge to Swift Current.

Currently at a .913 save percentage and a 2.71 GAA with Swift Current.

All 3 of their goalies are hovering around the .913 save %.

Skinner will go back as an overager, IMO. So, no point in a contract until next season.

He's also played well since going to Swift. 15-6-2, 0.913 and 2.74 in 24 games since the trade.

Really nice to see Maksimov doing so well. Scouting is definitely improved since Chia took over. You have Bear getting games in the NHL, Jones waiting in the wings and then between Benson, Maksimov, Skinner, Berglund and Samorukov you probably get at least 1 or 2 NHLers.

While this is an impressive stat line, I don't want to give Chia THIS much credit. Maksimov was doing nothing before he was traded to Niagara halfway through last season. But his numbers went up rapidly after that.

Well they drafted him when other teams passed on him. Give credit where it is due.

Well seeing as the Oilers drafted him based on his performance last season where his numbers improved greatly after being traded to Niagara, how is that not a credit to Chiarelli's scouting staff?

When in doubt, draft a forward from the OHL.

Boils my blood when they draft high risk/low reward guys from Junior A when there's OHL forwards like Ben Jones(Maximov's center, 79 points in 68 games, drafted by Vegas in the 7th) or Alex Chmelevski(74 points in 67 games, drafted by San Jose at the end of the 6th) on the board.

The Screaming Eagles burst the eardrums of the Sea Dogs 8-3. Ostap Safin wasn't in the lineup.

Kirill Maksimov had a goal and an assist, 2 shots, took a tripping call, lost his only faceoff and was +2, as the IceDogs made a fish fry out of the Steelheads 6-3.

Looking forward to following Oilers' prospects in CHL playoffs, especially those playing in the WHL. Yamamoto and Benson are at the top of my watch list. I think both may challenge for roster spots. I expect Benson to challenge but come close but not make the roster.

I think they both challenge but both start the year in the AHL (hopefully)
