Howden and Wolski made the Canadian Olympic team.

I watched one of Howden's KHL games a couple weeks back and his speed is too OP against slower (compared to the NHL pace) players. The NHL train might've gone past, but he's in for a good career in Europe, as long as he can stay healthy.

@EnforceTheLaus That Boston game will be the end of the season obviously so we now have 3 games against them in the final 10 days of the schedule. Ouch! Hoping those games have some meaning in a couple months.

I forgot Wolski was Canadian
Apparently he was in a hospital bed a year ago and now with a chance to win a gold medal. Good story.

Always hoped Howden would turn into a great 3rd line winger, 10-15 goal/35pt guy but couldn't build the toolbox and one too many injuries.

Florida vs. Winnipeg would make sense. Assuming both Barkov and Laine are playing for respective teams!

If they're playing in Tampere, Boston would make more sense than Florida or Winnipeg, assuming Rask is still in Boston. The Panthers and Jets would fit better in Mouhijärvi.

We could also have Haapala and Repo, but you never know. Three years is a long time for NHL players, a lot could change.

Aleksi Heponiemi actually played for a Tampere team, unlike those two.

The new arena only fits around 11k actually. Helsinki is 13.5k-ish.

According to Aamulehti and Tekniikka & talous the new arena in Tampere will fit 13,000. It will look really nice in League games when there are 4,000 people in the stands :

As meh as McGinn has been, he only has one more year left.

That trade isn't looking too bad atm.

Yeah, I'd have prefered if we didn't have to retain, but this trade at least made sense (getting rid of Demers' contract and filling a need for depth scoring). Now the expansion draft OTOH...

I think this will be JJ's last NHL season, the game has gone towards speed too much and he can't compensate in other areas anymore.

Was done last season.
GR said that he had a knee injury last season.

JJ was okay with the Kings and the decision to waive him seems to be a numbers game decision, than them wanting to get rid of him. As long as Columbus plays him in their bottom6, he should be a fine fill-in guy.

12. I’m amazed at the rumours out of Chicago that Joel Quenneville could be in trouble. If he wants a change, that’s one thing. But getting fired? Really? Quenneville would be unemployed as long as he wanted to be unemployed. And someone could very well drop a Babcock-style contract on him.

Deer Lord if there is any irrational hope, let him come here.
