Toronto may sell many assets now and do a full rebuild.

They are top-5 in the draft already, not that far from top-2 or top-3.

I can see them doing something idiotic. Like sending Phaneuf to Dallas for a garbage return.

Meh. If they keep getting returns like they have for Winnik, Santorelli, and Franson, they can accomplish the bulk of the fire sale value via shedding depth players. Bozak could fetch them another 2nd+. Moving Phaneuf and/or Kessel will be just as much about clearing contract commitments as anything else. The bar on the return for Dion doesn't have to be set all that high. A 1st + middling roster player would get the job done.

Granted, this is all contingent upon them drafting and developing well. Which... it's the Leafs.

dam the Rangers ... ARZ could have quite easily won today, was a good game

the Rags have had quite a few instances of letting 3 or more goals in lately while Lundqvist has been out, but they keep winning

its really quite annoying :(

Luongo & Montoya both hurt for Florida. Either their goaltending coach, MacKenzie or Upshall look to be coming in.

Aww. Montoya coming back out.

@Liams_Hockey: Last non goalie to play in the NHL was Jerry Topazzini with Boston in 1961.

‏@TSNDaveHodge: Didn't think it was possible to watch the Leafs and feel sorrier for the other team.

Was just about to post about this, Luongo is back in, they're destroying both of their goalies. Buffalo is watching this game, crossing their fingers and taking notes...
