Alfredsson - Re-Sign - This one needs no explanation.
Latendresse - Try to Re-Sign - Latendresse adds secondary scoring and has shown good chemistry with Zibanejad and Silfverberg. He'll probably be affordable, too.
Regin - Let Walk - Regin has played out his time in Ottawa. He had an interesting playoff run against Pittsburgh and played well for Denmark in the WC during that summer, but the rest of his time in Ottawa has been marred by injuries and an inability to contribute when in the lineup.
Gonchar - Try to Re-Sign, or Replace with a Top-4 - Gonchar has played well enough to warrant a 1 year contract. His breakout ability complements MacLean's system nicely, and he's shown he has the ability to log heavy minutes if Karlsson goes down for a short period of time. If he either demands too long a term or wants to finish his career elsewhere, concentrate efforts on bringing in a comparable player to flush out our top-4.
Lundin - Let Walk - We don't have much use for Lundin after this season. I think we gave him a shot, and it's time to move on.
Benoit - Let Walk - I hate to say it, but I think Benoit should be given a chance to test the market a la Carkner. He's served his time in the AHL and has showcased his talent. We've got enough depth in the farm to make him an expendable asset, and I'm sure he wants a shot to be an NHL regular, rather than just a #7.
Jessiman - Replace - Jessiman's a serviceable player, I'm not privy to Binghamton's needs for next season, but I think he's fairly replaceable. Bingo seems to turnover its veteran forwards fairly often, so I can see him leaving.
Lawson - Re-Sign - We need an AHL goaltender, now that Lehner has been promoted to full-time back-up. His numbers are good enough to be the man in Binghamton (.937 SV% and a GAA that's just above 2.00).
RFAs
Condra - Re-Sign - Condra's an important depth piece. He kills penalties, has great defensive abilities, and can generate scoring chances by being aggressive around the blueline.
Hoffman - Re-Sign - He's young, he's shown some promise at becoming a speedy, smart bottom-6er. Seems like a no-brainer to qualify him.
Wiercioch - Re-Sign - Has played well in the top-4 this season. He's ready for a promotion to the big club.
Da Costa - Re-Sign - He's young enough and good enough to be a significant contributor in the AHL. I think he's lost out on the numbers game in the NHL, and he may become trade bait because of that.
Cowick - Release - Cowick is an adequate player in the AHL. He's got little NHL potential and may be moved on so the organization can get a look at other prospects.
Borowiecki - Re-Sign - A year removed from the organization's first call-up, Borocop has been jumped by Gryba and Wiercioch. He's still got the potential to become a solid bottom-pairing defensive defenceman, and is a leader in Binghamton.
Dziurzynski - Re-Sign - He adds grit and skill to Binghamton's lineup. While he won't be a stud in the NHL, he's worth keeping around for now for depth purposes.
Caporusso - Release - He hasn't done much to improve his likelihood of making the NHL. Can see him signing an AHL contract.
