Having watched a bit of film on all three, could I get them as a line rather than having to pick one? If I'm forced to chose, it's Zegras by a hair over Caufield by a hair over Boldy. They're close for me.

Definitely, you are an Habs fan.

Yes, I know it’s hard to comprehend that someone does not glorify everything to high heaven because it is tied to the team he supports. I had Zegras a lot higher than the other two before the draft, and given that I’m not a hypocrite who flip flops the moment his team makes a selection I’ll stand by the player I backed rather than dump on him to make myself feel better because we landed other of the three in question here.

Zegras, then Boldy, then Caufield. The Caufield hype has gotten out of control. Zegras and Boldy have just as high a ceiling and are more likely to hit it. Caufield’s only NHL caliber quality thus far is his shot, everything else is going to take a lot of work. He’s like Laine but almost a foot shorter.

Thats just wrong... It's like saying boldy's only NHL quality is his size or Zegras' only quality is his playmaking, Almost every draft ranking prior to the draft had Caufield ahead of Boldy including Button, Pronman, Mckenzie or neck and neck (McKeens). Also don't know why bring up Laine, absolutely no one takes Boldy and possibly Zegras over him, even after his bad year.

Boldy and Zegras both have far more complete games than Caufield and both have more qualities that are better than Caufield. Caufield racked up a bunch of goals because he got to open space and let his historically great team do the rest. Laine is a stylistic comparison. Caufield will not be as good an NHL player as Boldy or Zegras unless he takes massive strides in figuring out how to play hockey and not just how to shoot a puck. And clearly, teams would take Boldy and Zegras over Caufield.

As an Canuck and Flyers fan I scouted all 3 very closely this year since we had picks 10/11 respectively. At the tail end of June before the draft I switched up the rankings of these 3 multiple times. they’re all so close, all project as possible 1st liners.

1. Zegras
2. Boldy
3. Caufield

Ok thanks for showing you have no idea what you're talking about. Also too bad scoring goals is like the least most important thing in Hockey :sarcasm: we'll see see in 1-2 years time. And you clearly haven't watched any of these prospects if you think Zegras and Boldy are great 200 ft players.

Both are bigger than Caufield and one is a center, that's why they got picked before. They are safer, but top potential is debatable.
