Kind of curious what Chara has in mind after hockey. Seems like a guy you'd want to have in your front office or on your staff in some capacity.

Bruce Cassidy on Zdeno Chara: 'I wouldn't put it past him to play 4 or 5 more years in this league'
It will be interesting to see how much longer he plays, that's for sure.
He's probably in better shape than some 25 year olds in the league.
I think it will be a long time, if ever, before the league sees another guy like Chara. If anyone remembers what Chris Chelios put himself through to keep playing defense in his 40'st you realize the torture Chara goes through.
Its clearly not for everyone.
10 might be stretching it, but I could see 5. I think most of us probably could. At his fitness level he could probably play 3rd pairing for 5-10 more years if he wanted to.
10 is a little hyperbole, but 5+ is definitely possible. I think when people doubt him playing that long they just see him as a top pairing defenseman. Reduce his role and minutes and he’d be a great bottom pairing guy for years.10 might be stretching it, but I could see 5. I think most of us probably could.

Everything changed with Chara’s arrival.
Grossly underrated player in the grand scheme of Boston sports.
The more he posts, the more unreal he seems. That is a gigantic body to lug up a rope using arm strength. I can't imagine getting hit by him on the ice. Yowzers.Slovakian machine doesn't break
