It means a neutral party decided that it wasn’t quite as egregious as you think it was so Avs fans might not be the ones out of touch with reality.

Watch the video at 30 seconds.
You will see Zadorov use his knee to take the feet from under Kotkaniemi.
Regardless of how you, I or DoPS think.
Zadorov used his knee to take him out.
You can say that’s not dirty.
The DoPS can conclude that no fine or suspension is needed.
I can conclude that it’s a dirty play that should warrant a suspension.

however, one can’t turn a blind eye to reality and choose to ignore what the video clearly shows.

that Zadorov used his knee to take the feet from under Kotkaniemi.
Clean, Dirty or anything in between. that’s a personal opinion.
What’s not an opinion is what the video actually show

slight? Tell me why a 6’2 player gets completely inverted then? Hit is fine but that’s definitely not how the hit should’ve ended

Contact with Zadorov's leg is bellow Kotkaniemi's knee. There is no way that you can kick someone bellow the knee and make him rotate 180 degree because of that. It was rotation on hips and shoulders.

And I'll just point out that the majority of people, including the NHL and a lot of habs fans, don't see it as a dirty play.

I guess that settles it then, right? Not a dirty play but very unfortunate.

Just pointing out reality

The reality is Zadorov used his leg to take the feet from under Kotkaniemi.
whether it’s clean or not is an opinion.
