@DegenX will be back I think Monday. I know she is working on a few things. I think because it could start Wednesday - we should just go with what we can. We can make 2 gifs that look uniformed and rock those.

Like I said in post 1, there are great ideas. There are funny ideas. We rely on our members to help give back. Right now we have a little gap when it comes to filling in the past members who left that did our photoshop. So realistically it's not due to liking ideas or not. It's about getting this going and making it work.

Unfortunately some of our vet photoshoppers have moved on, have families, live in Upper St Clair, and read newspapers only anymore so we are down to using a theme that we all have to share. The board has always evolved through time with other members stepping up but in the last 2 years we hit a spot where it hasn't happened. That's natural in life, though. But we do not have 2-3 members who can take requests and do the avatars for everyone. So unfortunately, this year, we can't do that.

Hell speaking just on GDTs alone. @Syrinx was a live saver for coding. @SCUDeriMISSILE was our life saver in 2009. I haven't seen @Mischa around for quite a while.


Maybe @DegenX and myself can create a troll avatar and a count avatar and we can just use both. We can try to make them look similar enough and just use both. I'd like us to all use the avatars because there is nothing cooler than going on mainboards and seeing Penguin fans flooded everywhere.

Edit: Alright I think I got the hang of making GIFs in photoshop. The only thing Id have to figure out is the specific details in the formatting for HFboards.

Right, but they still get reduced to the size we see now as a current avatars.

If you reduce them to around 125 x 125 you'll see if they'll work more easily. I personally would rather the larger graphic over the file size. Even just going from 90x90 to 100x100 would do wonders for the final result.

Maybe they are 100x100? Hard to tell.

This is 200x 200 and you can easily be fooled into thinking it'll work on more detailed gifs.

Our old format allowed for 125x125 with a file size of 20KB, and our current ones are not even 100x100. I think they are 90x90. Never really checked since they reduce them for you.

Oh, and another reason to make them as small as possible is that they'll take even less to get under the 50kb allowance.

Things are not finalized and you might have loaded the wrong one. You can steal it directly from my avatar if that's the one. It works, obviously.

I'd still wait for final confirmation of final decisions from vote or Cole/Degen.
