no thanks, rather hang onto Lysell, Lohrei and the 1st and not pay $10m to a guy we are not even sure if or when he gets back on the ice and if he does will he be the same player or not.

You do this deal for Eichel and don't think twice about it. Elite talent in a crap scenario.

So rumors are we pick up Coleman & Forbort? So the lineup would look like this:

Marchy-Bergy-Pasta
Hall-Krech-Smith
JDB-Coyle-Coleman
Freddy-Lazar-Wags
Stud/Blidh/Seny/Kuhlman

Gryz-Mac
Reilly-Carlo
Forbort-Cliffy
Zboril/UV

Swayman/Vladar

How's everyone feel about that?

If that was our roster our top 9 is right up there with the very best in the NHL. The D is solid but still missing that one other player that could bring it to the next level. Not worried about our goaltending, it will work itself out. Hopefully we can improve our 4th line.

Not great. It's better than last year, but if you really look at that bottom 6 and left side of the D it's not great.

IMO they need a trade for that left side - a real top 4 LD. Better than Reilly and Gryz.

So the lingering question for me remains JDB. Is there really a chance this guy is back again next season???

If so, color me shocked. Maybe it was just wishful thinking, but it seemed clear Cassidy was done with him, and it also seemed clear he needed a change of scenery. Really surprised he's still around.

I like the top 9 except for JDB. Just don't think he's very good.

I would like to see Gryz upgraded to Ekholm & JDB upgraded to Saad or someone similar.

I don't see the Bruins being very active at all, money wise. Sweeney learned his lesson on Backes/Belesky deals.

I can see him adding 1 or 2, 3rd - 4th liners and/or, 1 or 2, 5-6 defenseman, also a vet goalie.

Then ill be waiting for @bcbruin1 significant move that is incoming

With Ritchie not coming back, it seems apparent Jake DeBust is coming back.

I like Coleman but 6x5 sounds like Backes all over again

I'd rather 3.5 x 7 ----- 5 years from now you can find ways to dump/eat 3.5. A lot harder to do at 6.

(not saying I'd do 3.5 x 7 --- just more palatable)

Them "Suter at 4 years is too much for his age and remaining talent."

Me "Yeah maybe you are right."

Them "we can sign Coleman and Forbert to 5 year deals instead!"

Me "uhhhh.. Can I change my first answer?"

Forbort is 29 --- so I'm okay with 5 years for a defenseman -- depending on the dollars, of course.

A physical forward, on the other hand is a different story at that age.

You maybe right
But he has to get a LD
They can’t go into the season with basically the same defense
