If they can stay healthy the forward group looks very strong, on paper the D seems shaky but assuming the young guns continue to improve and the other guys (Kronner,Rig, KFQ) can continue growing into their new roles it may well be quite solid.

100% agreed. The forward corp looks much improved. You could even slot in Bert for Eaves or Miller (probably Eaves though) if you wanted.

I'd love to see Jurco get a chance to earn a spot. The AHL playoffs were eye opening in terms of his abilities.

If Weiss and Alfredsson have average seasons, we should be a seriously good team. So much better than last year it's not even close, and we get a new arena in a few years as well!

Top 6 forwards are finally legitimate. The third line will be crucial. 4th line is a 4th line.

Our D, on paper doesn't look the strongest. But they did good last year, and if Smith/Dekeyser can continue to improve it'll be legit. Z + D are amazing two way players, Weiss is no slouch, and our 3rd line is pretty responsible.

Wings already only have $2.3m cap space and still need to sign Nyquist/Smith/Andersson though so they already need to clear space as it is

Somehow we were top 5 so as long as we dont regress too much we should be fine.
