Man if Yandle is bought out there's another cheap name that might improve someone's bottom 4.

This off season is gonna be wild.

The NHL needs to step into these buyouts. I envision Seattle signing Suter, Yandle, and another handful of these buyout vets for close to minimum and then raffling them off to contenders at the deadline for 1st rounders.

This isn't gm mode on NHL 21. The players would have to actually agree to that, and if they're signing to league minimum why not just pick your own team in the first place?

Why not just pick from the front runners when the regular season is almost over. Keep in shape but don't kill yourself and then come on in for the playoffs.

It’s really crazy how you guys attach yourselves to a former star’s name and think there’s an average decline by age and thereby Yandle is a good option because one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
As an ardent supporter of his (and of Brian Campbell’s, who got similar treatment in Florida), I can sufficiently say that the only thing Yandle brings you is friendship in your locker room. He isn’t a bottom 4 defender. He’s the equivalent of an untrustworthy AHL call-up. He fell off the face of the earth last season. It was hard to watch by the playoffs.

Don’t see the point in buying him out. 2.3M->5.4M->1.2M for the following two seasons. A buyout would be short sighted don’t think they should let the expansion draft cause them to make a bunch of moves to protect a defenceman that had a good season (Forsling). We’ve seen that movie already just ride the contract out

Lol, you clearly haven’t read any of the thread or watched much of the Panthers. Has a lot more to do with getting him off the team than it does with protecting Forsling (or Gudas for that matter). Yandle needs to go, it’s not the same movie, and other than the 2nd year the cap hit isn’t bad at all. No one in Florida wants to ride anything out with him other than a plane to another team.
