Canucks are an interesting team. They are playing well but they aren't beating any teams I consider playoff teams so I have no idea what to expect.

I was listening to Vancouver radio today and they said the Canucks consider this game a litmus test for them.

Kuzy is one of those players that if all is well, he is not available. He is only available if there is a dumpster fire. Surely there are teams willing to roll the dice but what you get in return is by its nature highly reduced. The only way the Capitals trade him is if he becomes a locker room problem and they just cant keep him.
I think he is a bit of a problem now. On and off the ice.

Your assessment of Kuznetov's value is way off.

Kevin Hayes got 7x7.1m as a 50 point player this offseason.

Kuznetsov at his current care level is still a near PPG player making 7.8m.

Kuznetnov at his peak care level is a Conn Smythe level player making 7.8m.

You're making him seem like an anchor. He's not. He's just disappointing us because of what he could be.
There is more to the game then offense. His offensive play is the least of our worries. It's the rest of his game that has people scratching their heads.
Great talent. I like the guy but he is a flake.

At this last year Kuzy had 13 points in 8 games and based on that and the postseason you could start to argue he was a top 10 player. 2 weeks ago without him the power play looked unable to enter the zone. Even if he’s a power play specialist right now there are so few potential gamebreakers out there, people were saying that same shit about Ovy when he put up the -35.

It's still early in the season and the team is tied for 1st place in the league (with Edmonton and Buffalo, couldn't have predicted that!).

They have some concerns, such as blowing leads in the 3rd, but for the most part we have a lot less to complain about than many of the other fanbases.
(Yes I complained about Reirden - I'm still not sold on the guy but the record shows he's getting the results).

The line combinations aren't working. I guess at some point the coaches are going to drop the experiment and go back to the traditional lines. We don't seem to be able
to create 3 good offensive lines, but do we really need to if we can have two excellent scoring lines and the bulk of our points come from them?

As for Kuzy, I suspect he needs a lot of micro-management. He's not a leader so he can't drive his own line. He needs to be on a line with players who ARE leaders and who can motivate him (Ovie).
Otherwise he seems to just switch off and coast, or finds it difficult to create offence when his linemates aren't offensively minded players.
Have they tried putting Vrana on a line with him? How about Vrana - Kuzy - Hathaway and Hagelin, Eller, Wilson?

Canucks have had a very easy schedule so far, so makes sense this game would be a litmus test for them (even though we're on the back to back and they're at home).
I wouldn't take them lightly. I think they are more than capable of beating us in this situation and they are going to come out firing on all cylinders.

I'm hoping for a win but not going to be too upset if it doesn't happen. I do hope Kuzy has a good game and I'd love to see points for Hathaway and Liepsic.

So now we know that the worst enemy of this team is 3rd period. They should resist to get on the ice after 2nd.

His main job is offense. You make this argument about every player. And I agree to some extent if we're talking about Stevenson or maybe even Eller (though I reject entirely the notion that any skater should be wholly exempt from some offensive expectations) But Kuzy is here to put up points. He can't be a defensive liability, but defense is 100% NOT why he's on the ice. If his current assignment is stifling his offensive production, that's an issue worthy of discussion.
