I love this match-up.

7-0-0 in the last 7 against the Wild. Ovechkin has 11 goals and 7 assists in those 7 games.

It is also the first home game back for the Wild after their longest road trip in club history. Teams generally suck on the first game back after a long road trip.

I am going to say 6-1 Caps (and I am a Wild fan, who lives in the DC area)

Last chance for Burakovsky.

ES Comparison (this isn't pretty):

Andre Burakovsky:
GF/60: 1.1
GA/60: 3.5
D zone starts: 53.8%

Connolly:
GF/60: 3.6
GA/60: 2.7
D zone starts: 44.8%

Stephenson:
GF/60: 1.9
GA/60: 3.2
D zone starts: 50.4%

DSP:
GF/60: 1.7
GA/60: 2.6
D zone starts: 57.3%

Jaskin:
GF/60: 1.4
GA/60: 2.4
D zone starts: 54.5%

Dowd:
GF/60: 1.7
GA/60: 2.8
D zone starts: 60%

Boyd (small sample size):
GF/60: 4.1
GA/60: 2.1
D zone starts: 50%

Another surprising stat was Eller at ES... 5.4 GA/60 which is nearly twice as bad as anyone else on the roster. Unlike Burakovsky he atleast produces something offensively, though. He still needs a lot of work on his defensive game if they want to stop the bleeding defensively.
That Eller stat isnt surprising if you watched all of the games. He has been on the ice for a lot of goals against. He has been partially responsible for quite a few of those goals.

I have, and thought the number is propably high. I didn't expect it to be that much higher than few of the other guys, though.

Without ever looking at those stats I would have guessed Eller and Burakovsky being on the ice for the most goals against.
Ive commented about Eller being a very inconsistent player. I stand by those comments. I also said he will get on a mini hot streak and everyone here would be praising him. And that happened. He is just too damn streaky.

Eller's got an ice save % of 85.2, I think he gets the tough matchups on the road, he's not playing great but he hasn't caught a lot of breaks.

Does anyone know what Tom was doing while suspended? He couldn't practise right? Playing RDR2? He's probably gonna be quite rusty for a month at least.
