Kap-Barzal-Fiala? I mean, if Kap puts up 36+35 next year and actually demands 7.5 then you trade him for something like Tuch+Krebs and have about 2 extra million to play with. As good as Fiala is, he should be signing for the Connor contract. I don’t think it’s impossible to get by with Barzal at 10.9, granted it’s won’t be easy.

We could even stand to spend less money on the 4th line. If Parise gets traded/LTIRed it’s easy to fit under the cap. You could argue I went high on guys like Kunin and Ek’s deals too

Defense is fine, goalie is fine, top line is more than fine, 2nd line is hodgepodge of 2nd/3rd, 4th line is irrelevant. You're overreacting because I didn't go research future league minimum 4th liners.

Absolutely yes. Especially if my pick this year was out of the top 12.

Maybe it's not the smartest thing to do, but if I get to watch a Kaprizov/Barzal/Fiala top line for the next 7 years, I'm going to stop caring awfully quick about who is on the 3rd and 4th lines.

Sexy line. Maybe a bit heavy on perimeter types, but would be a blast to watch, especially with Spurgeon on the back end.
