Yeah he was flying on those back checks. He’s definitely added a step since his draft. The bill coming into the game was that Russia can’t stay out of the box, but it seems that Canada can’t stay out of the box.

No doubt on those back checks! That's what caught my attention... Canada was coming in with a lot of speed, he caught and passed them pretty easily despite the late start!

Looked like an old madden NFL game when you could just mash the sprint button and run away from people...

Russia was having serious discipline issues against the Czechs, though Khovanov didn't seem to be one of the problem kids in that one.

All young players do that... it's the ones that never learn that at the NHL level, you need to be much more aware when doing such things that can cause frustration.

Khovanov seems to have enough speed to burn. His coaches have said good things about his work ethic. Crossing my fingers with this guy.

He's the most talented forward on the Russian team. Had a bomb of a one-timer go off the post. Great hands and better on the wall than you would expect.
