Sens found a real gem dmen in Lajoie, it would be fabulous if jets found a similar fifth round gem. Any parallels in their style?

I am greedy with having Niku and all.
Lajoie came more out of nowhere than anybody I've ever seen.

Sens draft very well, especially in the later rounds. It's their Melnyk-resisting device.

I'm interested in seeing if he keeps it up.

Kind of strange to be explosively productive in the NHL when he wasn't even producing that much in the AHL.

Or the WHL for that matter. I'm very skeptical that he can keep it up but then I haven't watched him really. Good for him and the Sens if he does, but it seems there are quite a few players there swinging well above their weight class on that team. Reminds me of Montreal a few years ago when their whole team was producing an absurd amount for the first ~20 games of the season, with Markov and their 4th line all being around a point per game, then it all came crashing down.

Virtanen moved up to first line wing after having 3 points in the past 2 games. Nothing to show for it yet.

UPDATE: Has a goal early in the 3rd.

And that's where he finishes. So picking up with 2G2A in his last 3GP, and the same total over 13GP. 4 points puts him tied for 7th in U20 scoring.

If you go strictly by stats as many seem to do for prospects, he's having a very good D+1 season.
I definitely do. Wish I had more time to actually watch but I don't, though boxscores have proven to be fairly reliable when predicting success.

Then you'll like the facts that he's 7th in D scoring in the OHL, and maybe more impressive is that he's tied for top in scoring on his team.

I liked his play in the last game of the rookie tourney and his play in development camp. The kid has some tools and skates well.

Every time I see a picture of Burke, I'm convinced he's a Stangebär.

Looked good in the shootout. Karlskrona were winning 3-0 after the 2nd period. The 3rd period has been a nightmare for them all season, but they were able to pull out the W this time.

With his 5th goal, Gawanke has now scored more this season in 15 games than he did all of last season in 62 games. He also has an assist halfway through the game.
