Regula is unlikely to be anything. Perlini is a reclamation project who if he goes right will improve our secondary scoring. Reasonable trade.

This was kind of my thoughts, as he is a 3rd rounder from just a couple years ago, and Perlini doesn't appear to be anything at all to be honest. How many bottom 6 guys do we need? Maybe they will finally send Hirose to the AHL where he belongs.

No issue with this. Perlini is a low risk acquisition. Likely his last stop if it doesn’t work out. Hope he can make something of it here.

Regula's a solid prospect... but there are other D prospects I'd rank ahead of him... Seider, McIsaac, Tuomisto & Johansson.

At best he seemed like a 3rd pair D-Man (If he makes it)... Good Luck to him though!

always had a pretty high opinion of regula(even before the draft was hoping the Wings would pick him)

guess Yzerman sees a reclamation project worth taking a chance on in Perlini when he demanded a trade,we'll see how it works out I guess but i've always felt Regula has some underrated upside to him so won't be shocked if it backfires in an ugly way either
