Windsor's shooting themselves here. You can't take stupid penalties like this. Renwick, Henault, and Miedema's penalties were ALL avoidable.
Agreed, but what are the chances a team scores on 4 straight PP's in a span of about 10 minutes? That's something that happens about once a year.

Sting obviously found a flaw.
Windsor better tighten up.

How about Windsor stop taking dumb penalties so Sarnia doesn't have a chance on the pp?
I am about ready to block you dude. You don't read, I wrote "agreed" to the above poster. Regardless I am simply stating that it is extremely rare for a team to score on 4 straight PP's in about 10 minutes. A very rare sight indeed.

It’s not helping that the 4 guys who played on top line alot this year Cuylle, Johnston, Maggio/Zito who combined for 149 goals in regular season only have 2 so far in almost 3 games. You won’t get very far when your top guys don’t preform. They should still get out of this round but they need to be better.

What in the world has happened to the Spits power play? One of the best in the O all season, connected on 60% of their PP's against Sarnia in the regular season and they can't do anything on the PP in this series? You're not gonna win many playoff games with a non-existent power play. (1 for 17 in this series)

On top of it all, the penalty kill is now all of a sudden a complete joke. This series could get ugly if they don't wake up on special teams. Also, need a lot more from the first line.

We knew this kind of game could happen. Sarna's been very solid offensively at home and they needed a break to open up the series a bit. Windsor struggling on the PP, then taking stupid penalties gave the Sting their opening. Without question, Windsor is the better club, but you can't give a team that many chances on the PP, when they have oodles of confidence, and expect to come away with the win.

Refocus and get back to it on Thurs. You have a chance to win the series at home now; don't throw that aside.

If and a big "IF" the Spitfires' abysmal special teams continues like we saw tonight, it's not out of the question Sarnia can possibly win this series. Unacceptable to all of a sudden look so bad on the PP and PK.

We have 2 plays. The deep side of thee net spinaround chance and the long cross ice 1 timer outside the quality zone. Neither is working and the Sting can teletype the play. Give the Sting credit, 2 D blocking shots at the same time. Our level to that kind of commitment was not present tonight. We were schooled in the Special teams tonight and for the whole series looking at our PP. Better get it fixed fast and learn some disciplined hockey. This series goes 2-2 and it can get ugly quick for a 1st-8th seed match-up who has a tough ass goalie to contend with. Momentum has swung and we need to take it back.

Ok so, we all figured 1 loss. BUT no one predicted the O would completely shut down as far as our scorers. They didnt help the D tonight so thats no excuse! Special teams abysmal thru 3 games. Theres big issues here folks. Sarnia exploited every weakness to a tee. Who said the D was so much better lol. You cannot let guys that deep in the slot! Sarnia has kept our guys out of there all series and that's the big issue. That became very clear tonight.
No im not panicking yet but theres a lot to fix fir next game. X will start next game, our firepower MUST show up, and the D needs to keep the slot clear.

Sarnia is a team that few expect to do anything with a top tier goaltender who has played Windsor pretty even all year.

Windsor is a team that is learning how to play team defense and take individual responsibility defensively, at the cost of their high powered offense and has struggled with adversity much of the year.

Windsor arrived in Sarnia expecting to win after a couple of good defensive showings while Sarnia showed up at home willing to put in the work, doing all they can to fight for a win.

Plain and simple

On the ice Windsor is struggling when Sarnia is putting pressure on them while Sarnia is learning to believe in themselves and starting to get results.

Show up, do the work, put in the effort combined with the talent and there's nothing Windsor can't accomplish. Just ask Sarnia.

Go back to Onuska, he didn't cost them the game.

The PP has been the same all year, it's way too predictable.

The team needs to realize they have to play both sides of the puck, not just one or like tonight, neither much of the night.

60 minute effort plus talent will win games, not simply talent alone.

Our worst D has been our worst D. The first two games there was effort even if the defensive play was pretty sketchy. Tonight there was very little effort and a lot of poor play period.

It's one loss in a game Sarnia had to win. How Windsor responds Thursday is all that matters right now.

Kudos to Maggio for somehow coming back in what appeared to be an extremely unlikely and very painful situation.

Get things back on track Thursday.

Sobolev has a non covid related illness. Your other scratches were healthy according to Jim Parker.

Glad we got one on u guys haha. No need to panic us scoring 4 PPGs is something you'll only see once every 5 years 😂 only a matter of time before Johnston starts filling the net. Too good & getting to many looks. Glad Maggio is ok I enjoy watching him play & that was a scary looking fall
