Also based on past Letowski ......constant shuffling of lines. I see Zito making this team.

I still think it's important to differentiate between making the team and being a contributing player. If the Spits season is going to be decided on how well the vets play and how Foudy/Cuylle develop. Is there a reason to keep Zito on the team?

If Zito performs like he should, they'll find a spot for him. If he doesn't, and someone else earns a spot, it's LaSalle. Either way, Zito likely calls WFCU Centre his home by late January.

When it comes to Zito or any other first year player if the team is carrying 14 forwards or 7 D like most teams the team needs to ensure they are getting regular playing time to justify keeping them up. Obviously a contending team will have fewer kids and they will see a bit less.

Windsor not likely contending should have 3 or 4 first year players that can be rotated in and out every couple of games and get 10 minutes or so each game they play. If you have one kid as the 13th forward who gets 5 minutes every 4 or 5 games there's no point keeping them up.

The other issue, which Letowski did a horrible job of last year was keeping vets in while kids that were outplaying them sat at the start of the year and when the kids that sat got in they got very few minutes.

If Zito and another first year player were rotated in and out for two or three games at a time and got around 10 minutes or so each game I would have no problem keeping Zito up.

If he is going to be kept as the 13th forward just so the team can say we have depth but he only plays once every 5th or 6th game then send him to LaSalle to play every night.

Letowski cannot again sit kids in favour of vets if those kids are outperforming those vets.

Focus on actual development and stop prioritizing vet's icetime if kids are outplaying them.

Very true.
Let the kids play.
No more playing favorites in the vets trevor.

What expectations do u have for him?
What is he "supposed" to do?

Edit: Added links to past stats, Elite Prospects for those have not played in the OHL yet and OHL stats for those who have.

Not at camp but doesn't mean no longer on Protected List: Fensore, Kelly, Lemmer, Scullion, Tuck, McCown, Muzzati, Doyle, Webber, Evans, Straky, Bernard, Wang.

All others on this list you compiled will be at camp.

Thanks.

Any chance that you know who will be at camp knowing that many players who won't be?

I think most are assumed to not be coming since many of them have commits.

Here's my guess as to who might show for camp this weekend. I listed 39 and left 4 spots open for local F/
A and Over-Age try-outs. I was hoping to see some of the guys that have been mentioned as being no-shows
and a very competitive camp but it looks like it's all cut and dried. Unless something changes drastically
I will probably pass viewing....

My best, semi educated guess beyond our 23 signed players I can see being at camp.

Unsigned Forwards (8)
02 McKay Hayes – best chance of any unsigned forwards likely to report to make the team.
02 Liam Scullion
02 Johnny Ulicny
02 U18 Eric Vitale
03 Max Donohoe
03 Ben Felicitti
03 Ty MacDonald
03 Justin Brown

Long shots to show would be 02 Lemmer, 03 Muzzatti, 03 Doyle. None of them have college commits at this time and if they are still holding out for one they may show for 48 hours. The rest have college commits or are already listed with a team for the 2019/20 season. All 3 are USHL drafted so college is still a possibility. Lemmer would have the best shot of making the team out of camp while Muzzatti would have a shot as an 03 with solid size and numbers.

Unsigned D (4)
02 Owen Shier – best chance of any unsigned D to make the team.
02 Aleksa Babic
03 Zak Kruszewski
03 Shaun Horne

Long shot to show would be Evans. Very doubtful with a college commit but if he showed he very likely makes the team.

Unsigned Goalies (2)
02 Daniel Botelho
02 U18 Mattew Tovell

There is the potential for Bernard to show up since Windsor acquired him from Erie last season for depth and he did show up in LaSalle but it’s doubtful any goaltenders who do show have a realistic shot at camp so would not expect him here.

Others
3 x 19/20 year old FAs from any of the 3 leagues.

5 x local, Windsor/Essex and Chatham/Kent kids to fill roster spaces for camp.
Colton Krzeminski 2000/07/01 - ? - ? - ? - ?
Kyle Walker 2002/10/21 – C – L - 6’1” – 170
Ethan Hamelin 2002/?/? – C – R – 5’9” - 159
Matt Carvalho 2001/06/08 – F - ? – 5’11” - 185

One possible 19/20 year old usually comes in with a chance to make the team, doesn’t always work out but the rest are simply camp fillers most of the time with very few surprises and this year is to be even less likely we see a gem show up that no oone saw coming.

Barring any surprises that we would have likely heard something about by now the college commits will not be coming, exception IMO is potentially Evans. When these kids have a change of heart in terms of their commitment it's not information that needs to be leaked from the organization, it's pretty public knowledge and having not heard anything at this point it's doubtful we will see any of them as mentioned by others.

I'm hoping for some surprises, not expecting them but I still think this team needs a major shake up going into this season. They can't keep relying on the same players/coaches doing the same things and expecting different results. Yes, they should be better but they should have been better last season as well and while there was individual improvement there wasn't team improvement and I see the same thing playing out again this year. We will see individual improvement but the team game is questionable at this point.

Going into camp I don’t think there is much change coming but the possibility of a few changes shouldn’t be ruled out either. There are four or five players who could be at risk of becoming trade candidates if things align and we get a few camp surprises and the organization is willing to make changes.

Stevenson – As an OA D who likely rotates in and out of the line up until they are sure Robinson has overtaken him is the most at risk. If Evans showed or a combination of Shier and Jodoin showed they can be the 6th/7th D rotating regularly with Robinson playing every game could also put his job on the line.

Playfair – Is the most vulnerable forward at this time. He struggled most of last year and while injuries were a part of it they weren’t the only reason. Right now he’s a 4th liner as a 19 year old who could very well become the 13th forward if Zito shows well. If Hayes, Lemmer if he shows or a 19/20 year old FA can justify a roster spot he’s likely gone as he would not likely be anything more than a 13th/14th forward at that point.

Boka – If an OA FA can come in for nothing and do what Boka has done for the most part and is willing to accept a depth role then assets gained from a Boka deal become more valuable than keeping him. He would be the first of himself and Purboo likely to be dealt.

Purboo – Like Boka, someone would have to take his spot. One OA surprise isn’t going to see them both moved but a combination of a surprise 19/20 year old FA and a couple of kids from within showing they deserve a spot could justify moving on from Purboo, Boka and Playfair up front. There’s no point hanging onto 19/20 year old depth players if they can bring in assets while their replacements in a similar or higher roster spot can be had for nothing. None will be moved for the sake of moving them but none should be considered safe unless camp is simply for show.

01 D – Again, like with Stevenson any of them could become vulnerable if players show and step up. I don’t expect to see any of them gone but as long as the organization is willing to spend on justified improvements then most of the D should be vulnerable if someone can step up in camp and prove they deserve a spot.

Most who would be the biggest threats to make the line up aren’t expected to be here so for the most part those players are safe at the moment. I really don’t think we see any changes beyond a minor addition that moves Stevenson or Playfair out. Beyond that what we see is what we likely get.

Training camp roster is out. 43 players listed, but don't see Johnston, oversight is my guess unless he has an injury. No American surprises and no OA surprises.

I don't see anyone likely to make the jump unless there are other moves to be made. There are a couple who will probably make a case for themselves but until this org proves otherwise I see this camp as simply going through the motions at this point.

Both Parekh kids are here, somewhat surprised but good for the kids.

Just looking through the lineup:

- I can see Owen Shier getting a look and maybe some time in LaSalle.
- Kruszewski is USA or Spits, right?
- Ulicny is one to keep an eye on. He did well in camp last year so wouldn't shock me if he gets a pre-season game or two.
- Felicetti makes my ears perk up a bit. Good point totals and those PIM are unique (esp. for this era of hockey)
- Krzeminski is listed at 5'9 160. 13 points and 10 PIM in 39 games for LaSalle last season.
- I'm a little surprised the Parekh boys are coming, but I'm happy they are. They got caught in the middle of all the turmoil and you know they just want to play hockey. Hopefully they can have a good showing.

Just realized the page was edited to say 43 attendees instead of 45.

Who had a change of heart?

What's up with Johnston?

Information overload does not appear to be something we will have to worry about now.

I was hoping to see a couple of O/A guys show to compete for a job. The only guy I have an interest in seeing is Kruszewski but it’s very early and hopefully things will get more interesting...
