Nothing wrong with sharing what you hear imho. It creates discussion and opinions, some of those discussions and opinions might trigger some.....but not everyone. I have heard lot's about Lynch coming here from multiple sources, will it happen?..who knows, but it is good to hear information people are getting. I want to hear anything and everything, if it does not work out as what was heard.....so be it, ether way its Windsor Spitfire discussion. No harm no foul in my book!
I believed the Lynch rumor. As I PM'ed you during training camp I overheard WR on his cellphone saying I want that Kid here today. I assumed it was Lynch. However, it might have been Cuylle, but he wasn't a conversation piece on the boards at that time. I could have been any number of other kids that we don't know about.
No, I want to hear what is being whispered about. There is some truth sometimes and none other times.
As far as Lynch, I don't know if he has signed a contract (card) with Muskegon. If he hasn't he is still fair game. If he has, I assume he can't leave Muskegon without them releasing him, which I doubt they would do.
If the rule that Hockey Legend talked about is true (and I have no reason to doubt him) about an OA is a FA if he wants to return to his home territory, it is a crime that Drummondville is messing with a Kid's career to try to get more money. Again, this is speculation on my part but it does seem to me that the OHL is a better fit for him than the USHL.
I agree with you about developing the player and not wanting to lose him. I am saying if the rule does actually exist thathe can be grantedFA by simply requesting it, I don't see what the issue is.There are two sides though to everything. Drummondville is looking at it from a business point of view. They invested time in this player and have seen him develop. Now he wants to leave a good team and that organization has nothing to show for what they have done? They aren't messing with his career imo their organization has helped elevate his career if anything to begin with.
I would also add if anyone thought this was going to be some cut and dry case with no problems or issues then they weren't looking at things realistically.
I look at it from the point of view instead of mentioning what you hear wouldn't you rather have the right information than just second hand rumor? Overall it can create discussion but there seems to be too much of an emphasis in getting news out but not getting it right. At some point if your source doesn't give you good information or it doesn't come to fruition doesn't that end up bringing that source as not so reliable? Or do you just keep on kicking the can down the road and the first time he's right about something he's a great source?

.
I'll throw this out there - Muskegon is currently in pre-season. They don't start their reg season until early Oct. Lynch IS playing tonight for them.
Spits beat Sarnia 5-2. Cuylle gets 2 goals while Purboo wakes up to two goals and 2 assists. Nice rebound following a lacklustre effort Thursday. I believe it will take time for this team to gel, however we need to acquire points early as most teams have more players in pro camps than the Spits
The thing about the OHL is you never know what could happen. You really don't. I know the "cut-and-dry" idea is desired but that's not always the case.
If it were second hand info from someone I don't trust I wouldn't use it! Most of my info tho is direct word of mouth. Let's discuss this if things don't work out. Kinda early to chirp yet lol. Remember a chat we had where I told you , ohl things change often.....?
I'll add this - IF Lynch doesn't show up, so be it. This doesn't mean the info we got wasn't credible.
The info/posts by someone on this board said he/agent wanted to be in Windsor and it would happen. And another said that the CHL rules dictated it was cut n dry the player could sign in Windsor.
So it would kinda/actually say the info posted from one of the 2 parties was incorrect/not credible "IF" Lynch doesn't end up in Windsor without having to jump thru multi hoops to make it happen.
And sting played most or all the same lineup as last nite.........
OHLinsider has been doing it for years...just sayin. It's second hand information....but we are all guilty of reading it from time to time. I think it comes down to "if you want to keep sharing what you here that's up to the poster" How you respond to that information is up to you. Or better yet not reply at all, and go by your own info.

Actually they are messing with a guy's career, they are only trying to extort more money from Windsor, they are well aware of the rules as it applies to this case, not surprised you would stick up for them as some sort of justification for their actions.
Lynch is playing in Muskegon to prove a point and stay in
game shape.
If Drummondville were a bad team this coming season, he would be here by now.
How do you think Windsor got Jake Smith last year, had 20 goals last season in the Q,wanted to play back in Ontario, so his team with no stink let him go and took their 1000.
For once I would like to say good move last year, and good one this year, but you can't. Sad.
