I think there might have been some inadvertent contact with Fisher but Getzlaf acted like he just got shot in the face. It didn't hit him as hard as he made it seem and I hate that call anyways. The guy is falling to the ice after a hit. He's two feet off the ice and gets a high sticking call?

So now I can tell you...day before yesterday--day of Game 6--a duck appeared at our office. Just kind of out of the blue...was injured, weak, obviously lost because we're pretty far away from the lake. I took it as a sign that we would prevail. The guys wanted to take him back to the lake and I said no, not til after this series was over. So the duck stayed, we fed him...and we won the series.

I may not have that kind of luck with sharks in Donelson, but at least we made it through round 1.

Just read this entire thread. I would say emotional rollercoaster, but heck, everyone was up on edge the entire game. Even now, I can't stop smiling! I'm so proud of the team for digging down deep and believing they could do it and not giving up when it looked bleak.



Also appreciate all the love from other teams fans! It's always nice to get some "outsiders" opinions of the Preds. Be careful if you come back though, you may just catch Smashville Fever and stay for-ev-er!!



I was so not ready for the season to end and now I can't wait to get back to Bridgestone!!!!

Well I was stuck at work, the last update I got to see was 2-1 with 9 minutes left. Work got crazy and I didn't get a chance to look. I just knew my crap luck at work was a sign, and then I checked my phone. A message from the wife, hmm what does she want? All I see in big letters is,

WE WON, WE WON, WE WON!

Best message ever. I threw a fist in the air and went back to work.

I said it was over, we couldn't do. Well they proved me wrong and I am aye ok with that.


I don't know where this version of Paul Gaustad and Colin Wilson have been all season, but hot damn both have played well. Rinne once again is the man.

Well, Neal sold that soft slashing pretty well, so I guess we're even Neal's elbowing was unfortunate imo, as Depres was in bad position, head low, but something you have to call as a ref I guess. Don't know if they had let it slip if it was someone else than Neal tho...

This is now my favorite playoff victory. A game 7 on the road against a really tough team. Rinne, you keep proving me wrong all the way to the Cup - I will gladly take it.

Now I look forward to all the 'being disrespected' posts from you guys when people pick the Sharks.

Great win. I was wrong, Rinne did steal the game. The key was Wilson's goal. I still say if Ducks scored first they would have won.

Wilson is the NHL version of Robert Horry. Does nothing in the regular season, comes up big in playoffs.

I still love Kesler's game, but I'd love to hear what they are saying in Anaheim about Perry and Getzlaf, especially Perry.

To touch on another subject, Vesey did us a big favor. They are better off without disrupting the chemisty.

I say whoever wins the first game wins the Preds/Sharks series.
