Because he’s done nothing to prove he’s an elite shooter ever before last season. His average shooting percentage before this season was 8%. Which is just under league average. But he’s never done anything to really prove that he’s some elite goal scorer before this season so I need to see another year like this before I even really call him a top line or even top 6 player.

Fair enough.
I’ve seen enough. He’s the real deal. He was 24 years old at the start of the season and was finally given a top line role and ran with it. It’s not like he was playing with superstars either.
And it wasn’t just a hot streak. It was a whole season.
I doubt very much he returns to league average.

33-37-70 is what I expect. Top player on one of the better teams. Would’t be surprised though with 35 plus goals and 75 points either.
