Common sense: players are responsible for the hits they throw and they shouldn't throw dirty hits

This guy: absolutely not

The hit was like a step late. That's it. Lmfao.

And, frankly, with how long players are given to hit guys in the modern NHL, it's not even late.

The hit was a penalty for being big. Stop being mad.

great hit. bone crunching hit on a dman who is not paying attention despite playing the puck.

Hope he throws the same hit next game. Love this dude when he's on the ice.

watching the replay, it really wasnt late. tvr plays a behind the back pass and is the last guy to touch the puck when hes hit, despite other players being in the near vicinity of the play.

Oh, I agree. Compared with how long you have to hit guys in this league, it was not late. Just saying that you could at least say it was a step or so late. But that's not something ever really called.

TVR's on ice awareness played into this. Rempe's closing in on him and he's passing back behind himself and looking in the wrong direction at the play he's making and he got freight trained. Wrong time with the wrong guy on the ice......and maybe it was a little bit of a late hit but it wasn't anything really egregious even if that were the case. It might not even have been late. Rempe's game is hitting. We don't see other big hitters (like Tom Wilson) around the league pulling up and going easy on the guy they've lined up and particularly in the playoffs. At the very most that was 2 minutes and arguably not even a penalty.
