Who better to sign a BC boy than Burnaby Joe!?
The Avs are about the only team in the league that might actually be able to guarantee him a spot on the opening night roster....in VanCity he'd have been sent to Utica for sure....not sure what the fuss is about....for the record, Brendan Gaunce is exactly the same age as Kerfoot and a far better option as a depth centre already.

I know a lot in here would love to run with this narrative that Benning "screwed this up" but that's nothing more than #Fakenews. You offer a FA a contract, and they either sign it or not. Besides we're talking about a player that more than likely won't be an effective, quality NHL player. As far as I see it Benning put a good effort out there but Kerfoot chose a different direction, big deal.
I wouldn't lose sleep over Cal O'Reilly and I'm not losing sleep over Alex Kerfoot.
