It can also be a violent game that takes courage, spirit, and passion to play in. The Wild haven't been playing with the later three qualities for quite some time.
When you continue to give a player like Pominville time who doesn't deserve it, you send a very loud, negative message to the rest of the team. Incompetence is OK. Being soft is OK. Vets always get to play, even if they aren't as good as fourth liners.
