Why would you not have the 2nd leading US scorer in your team? Not to mention Stepan is having a terrible year. Whoever decided that needs to be kicked in the nuts

Neither of them were good in last years playoffs and are struggling this season as well. I rather have Oshie any day over Brown and Callahan as the 4th line RW.

Playoffs:
Callahan- 12 games, 2 goals, 3 assists, 5 points (2nd line)
Brown- 18 games, 3 goals, 1 assist, 4 points (Playing with Kopistar)

This season:
Callahan- 24 games, 7 goals, 6 assists, 13 points
Brown- 40 games, 7 goals, 6 assists, 13 points

I'm sorry, I meant to say last Olympics and not playoffs.

Pretty dumb not seeing him on the roster, and really stupid that they put Orpik on the team.

Long but interesting read from ESPN on how the selection process evolved:

http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/10195703/how-us-hockey-team-bound-sochi-olympics-was-named

So, there was never any serious consideration to include Okposo for the team, and if injuries create an opening for another winger, Saad is likely next in line, probably Ryan afterwards. It seems the process was dominated by people on the selection committee having their favorites, and some players who were going to be on the team no matter how bad a season they were having.
