seguin jumped into my top 10 based on 10pts in his last 3 games. insanity

Scoring goals isn't everything. There are a few players on this list that are better than Matthews on D and others are good playmakers (Getzlaf).

Matthews is not in my top 10 until this year ends. He's off to a hot start and is easily making the case for him to be top 5, but as of right now these are my rankings for the start of the year.

If you're gonna base your argument off of goals alone then I don't know what to tell you.

Nope, I just view 10 of them better than Auston. As I've said, Auston is making a strong cast of being in the top 5, maybe top 3 but these are my rankings prior to the 18/19 season.

I would add Backstrom, Kuznetsov, Eichel, Scheifele, Stamkos and potentially Barzal to that 4th tier as well but that's pretty much what mine would look like.
