Chris Phillips' future is up in the air. He had surgery but who knows how it will go next year. Cameron has shown that seniority means little when it comes to playing time if you're not producing.

Phillips and Neal being out of the lineup is the main reason Ottawa made playoffs. Phillips is not coming back unless Edmonton needs a new "veteran" captain to replace Ference or something. Phillips has been among the worst players to suit up for 3-4 years now.

Not at all.

then because of what? Why would he not be highly thought of? Of all the rookie GM's he has done far more to positively impact his club than any other.

Or is it because of his totally out of context "disappointed" comments??

I could see somone sign Kopecky for veteran depth, mostly because he is a two time Stanley Cup champion. Martin Erat should still be able to find a deal, 1-2 years for $1.5-2.0 mil per year. But both of them could get more in the KHL if they'd be open to go there.

Wishful thinking that Cliche and Guenin retire.

Not even ECHL talent players.

They are above ECHL talent.
