I was never in love with him. I actually had him going 6th and people crucified me for it.

That's not to say he can't be a very good player, but I never saw the superstar.

He's very talented, but this is the NHL. Very talented just gets you in the door.

People really underestimate how big of a step it is from the CHL to AHL. It's such a big transition that if a kid is making the jump as an 18 year old, the whole year stat-wise is a write off. If you have one producing at a .50 PPG rate or better that is all gravy.
