What's up with Tavares?

Been watching the Islanders this season a lot (great team) and noticed this guy has honestly been really bad lately (last 25 games), his speed and puck handling is just so half-assed during a time his team needs him the most.

When Boychuk and DeHaan went down it was obvious we needed to bolster the blueline, now he has brought in Davidson to be our savior and we need to get out from behind the 8-Ball. For a guy who wants to win a cup, I don't see the appeal for JT to stick around when the team misses the playoffs two year in a row.

One of the many reasons I don't see Tavares staying on LI. He would have signed by now. Stamkos should be a precautionary take, if that blood cot was more serious and he had to retire just as he was getting ready for his big payday..

I'd do $13M for sure, and have to think about anything over that. This is where the Price contract hurts. Montreal hasn't had a real star forward since my avatar.
