And then they'll go 9-0-3 at some point in December and there will be a thread that says "Perhaps we were all wrong about Yeo - this team has really responded!".
Minnesota fan and I come in peace. I really feel for you. Only a couple of years ago we truly feared the Blues. Never in my wildest imagination did I think they would hire Yeo. This guy has absolutely no cred in the NHL. He is a great minor league coach, I'll give him that but NHL...No Way. He seems to have a way to mesmerize Owners, Presidents and GMs. It took us five years to get rid of him. The guy never played a game at the NHL level. When we hired him, some of the players were older than him. How do you think it went when 'OL Mike tried to tell them what to do on the ice and then got in their face. It got so bad that some of our star players hired "private" coaches that came to work with them, DURING YEO'S PRACTICE. When Yeo would call a TO in a tight game and he was diagraming a play, the players weren't even looking at the board, just talking amongst themselves. I think Yeo's biggest problem was that he couldn't make ANY "on the fly changes." I think most of the NHL knows this and realizes that all you have to do is throw something different at Yeo and he just seizes up. The NHL game is just too fast for him.
Anyway, best of luck to you guys, I really do hold the Blues in the highest esteem and I hope it doesn't take you guys as long as it did us to realize Yeo has to go.
