This thread is hilarious proof that people will act like an expert on subjects they don't have any idea about. I'm not even talking about the trades... the comments people have had about the state of the CBJ org (trading the future lol), the future of the franchise, expectations, the size of the market.... the list is hilarious and stupid.

Yes some people just get too caught up in always min/maxing value. Never mind that the Columbus franchise in it's 20 year history has never won a playoff series, has been in a constant state of rebuilding, and if they gave up on this playoff run could be another 5 years before they have a team as good again. No you just have to ignore that and make sure you get value (a few late 1sts) for Panarin and Bobrovsky rather than letting them walk for nothing.

Even if they didn't make it or didn't beat Tampa this was exactly the position where you hold your hand and if the right pieces are available (Columbus had no 2nd line center) go all in.
