How many can you have on a playoff roster? Might just be for those reasons, have 8 Dman and 3 goalies incase you have any issues during the series.

Plus for a guy like Santini being around a post season series can help development.

Sonce Hynes is going to rest T Hall, Kyle Please and T Zajac then Devils aren't looking for a win tonight. So I would give a look see at Schneider in goal. How he does doesn't matter. I hope he does well finally we could use him as backup during the playoffs. However remember one game doesn't make a season.

Can play anyone on your reserve list in the playoffs. So theoretically, Devils could sign Maltsev or Anderson and play them in the playoffs if they wanted.

Roster is also limitless after trade deadline, but you need to be under the cap. Cap ceiling isn't a restriction in the playoffs.

I think the Pens are the best of those teams, but I don't think they'll win the cup this year.

I think the Caps aren't as good this year and they also went out in the second round with some much better teams than this.

I don’t really get the “rest” angle. It’s gonna be at least 3 days off anyway before Game 1. I guess they just don’t want to risk injury. To be honest, I really don’t see much of a difference between facing PIT/TB/WSH anyway. All have their pros and cons. Boston is the only team I really want to avoid
