It's weird. He's unquestionably a better and more productive player this year, but somehow I'm left feeling some of the dynamism is missing.

I'd guess the schedule is taking its toll on a lot of these guys. Playing in the NHL is hard enough but I'd bet constantly playing 4 games a week is just ridiculously hard, especially for the guys who's games are to play faster and more up tempo.

Jack needs to get back on the scoresheet tonight. He has 1 point in his last 6 games. At least it was a goal.

His last 10, which is basically half of the games played so far this season - 3 points (2 goals and 1 assist) - Not good.

After being matched up with Backstrom last game and Bergeron on Sunday, I wonder who the Isles put on him tonight: Barzal, Pageau, Czikis or Nelson? All are strong, determined defenders who can skate with him, who won’t give him much room, and who will also challenge his defense. Jack isn’t catching many freebies lately.
