Welcome to Whose Line is it Anyway, where the forward lines are made up and the usage time doesn't matter.

Luckily, thanks to the 3rd period comeback last game we may have found some lines to move forward with.

Start small, and take this 3 game series from the Isles. Turn it around from there! LGD

Hoping for not another Islanders snoozefest (how the tables have turned), but expecting one nonetheless.

Jack needs to get back on the scoresheet tonight. He has 1 point in his last 6 games. At least it was a goal.

His last 10, which is basically half of the games played so far this season - 3 points (2 goals and 1 assist) - Not good.

And of note...At least in my opinion...the last bunch of line shuffles...It definitely appears Zacha is being used to get other players "going"... which is a huge jump in stature and nice to see.

I know that others are skeptical but I do believe he looks like a new man and a significantly more confident player.

He isn't going to wow you necessarily and be as flashy as a Hughes or a Bratt, but he's certainly started to use those gifted tools of his more often. If he can get his shot off more frequently, I think it'll be the next big step for him. Playing with Hughes will hopefully put him in a position for that to happen.

I am not sure playing with Hughes is doing Zacha any favors. Hughes has one assist in his last 10 games...

I am guessing the idea is for Zacha to get Jack going. Thing is I think Hughes has been playing a little too individualistic lately and not utilizing his wingers properly...Maybe having Zacha will change that a bit

His earlier performance could have been a flash, he played himself out, or he is hurt. He wasn't that great last season. I am hoping for consistent improvement and then consistency.

His last 10 is more in-line with what he did last season as far as point production goes.

Last season 21 points in 61 games .344 PPG -- last 10 this season .3 PPG - Not making any sweeping points here...Other than he needs to pick it up quickly.

This will be a challenging game for the Devils.

The Isles know how to play the Devils and win. The Islanders are a much much better team.

Just hoping the Devils play a full 60 minutes and not sloppy.

Go Devils you can do this

I won't disagree with that. I'm not sure that he's doing it to a fault because his line has been struggling but I think him being paired with Zacha and Palmieri will hopefully allow for him to be confident in his linemates again.

I know Palms has struggled but he's someone we know can be an effective shooter. And Zacha has been arguably our best forward at parts of the season. Put them together with Hughes' skating and vision, it's one of the best options we can hope for at this point.

I know we love their skill but I don't like Hughes and Bratt together right now. And Johnsson has been utterly awful for the last handful of games and doing no one any favors.

He's been our best forward this year, so that's not very surprising that they keep putting him with different players trying to get more lines going. Most games lately our best line(s) have been the ones Zacha and Maltsev play on.

Binghamton’s game was called off last night in the second period due to COVID protocol on the Devils side.

I know most of the team got COVID already, but something to look out for if the NHL wants to play it safe especially after the Buffalo debacle.

Was it definitely on the Devils' side? Last I heard they hadn't released that info yet, but that was late last night.

It's weird. He's unquestionably a better and more productive player this year, but somehow I'm left feeling some of the dynamism is missing.

For someone who's such a great passer and has such great vision, he just doesn't seem to be using his wings much. I don't know if it's because his wings have sucked, he hasn't had time to build chemistry, he just doesn't trust them, or he's simply trying to do too much on his own.

Probably all of the above.

I actually think he could stand to take more initiative. He's a playmaker through and through, but at times last season he was just attacking defenders with his speed and creating chances. I want to see more of that.
